Ceanothus maritimus - Maritime Ceanothus

Description

This particular selection of Maritime Ceanothus is the one displayed on the hill in our demonstration garden. This low spreading shrub grows to 2'high and 8'wide. It flowers in early spring, Jan-March, with a pale lavender-blue blossom. Native to coastal bluffs in San Luis Obispo Co. Grow in full sun on the coast or give filtered afternoon shade inland. Will tolerate clay soils. Drought tolerant.
