Ceanothus impressus nipomensis var. - Nipomo Ceanothus

Description

This airy shrub will grow 6-9' high and 10-15' wide. Its lovely dark blue 1" flower clusters appear March-April. Native to chaparral, Nipomo Mesa, Santa Barbara Co. Plant in full sun with good drainage. This coastal shrub will not take extreme heat. Drought tolerant. The English have trained this in their gardens as an espalier with stunningly beautiful results.
