Calamagrostis foliosa - Leafy Reed Grass

Description

This uncommon grass can be found on bluffs and cliffs in coastal scrub and in the forests of the north coast of California. The grey-green foliage contrasted with the horizontally held cream colored flowers is extremely beautiful. Give this grass a well drained site, or add some fast draining planting mix when installing.
