Davallia fejeensis 'Plumosa' - Rabbit's Foot Fern

Description

This rabbit's-foot fern is from the Fiji Islands. the rhizomes are about 1/2 inch thick or more, bearing scales with long marginal hairs. This cultivar, 'Plumosa' has a feathery, more gracefully drooping aspect. Do not over-water- it will want its soil to be well draining, slightly moist, but on the dry side. Beautiful in a hanging pot, where its furry rhizomes can be seen up close. It is tender so protect from night temperatures below 40 degrees F.
