Description
An erect, deciduous shrub that gets 3-12 feet high. It wants sun or partial shade and regular garden watering. It has numerous, white flowers April to May, followed by dark purple fruit which is bitter but edible. Found in the coast ranges locally it usually grows in dense thickets in seeps providing both food and shelter for many small animals.
