Pinus ponderosa - Yellow Pine

Description

Also called the Ponderosa Pine, this tree grows moderately fast reaching heights from 60' to 200'. Has a narrow form with drooping branches and yellow-browm bark that has a plated appearance. Native to much of the Western U. S. and Canada, it is the most common forest tree. Grows at many elevations in mountainous areas. Give plenty of space, not good in dry heat. Good container plant.
