Description

A small, slow growing tree, reaching somewhere between 20' and 40'. It has stout, spreading branches and a rounded crown. Native to arid mountains from Wyoming south to Arizona and New Mexico. Also in the New York Mtns. of Calif. Well known for it's pine nuts. This is a hardy and drought tolerant tree. It thrives on the coast, as well as inland. Good in a container or as a specimen in the garden. Plant in full sun or light shade.
