Picea engelmannii - Engelmann Spruce

Description

One of only a few spruce varieties in California, in nature it is found only near the Oregon border. Most commonly found in high elevations from central British Columbia to Arizona (Rocky Mtns.). The new silvery foliage creates striking color contrast in the spring. Densely branched to the ground for many years. Very drought, heat and cold tolerant. Grows to 90'. Plant in full sun or part shade with light irrigation.
