Penstemon speciosus - Royal Penstemon

Description

A big, bold penstemon from southern California chaparral. It grows from l- 1/2 to 4 ft tall. The showy flowers are large tubes of vivid blue in bloom from April to June. It needs sun, moderate to semi-dry conditions with good drainage. A short-lived perennial, cold hardy.
