Mimulus cardinalis - Scarlet Monkeyflower

Description

This is a beautiful orange-red flowered plant found along rivers and streams through much of California. An excellent hummingbird flower, it needs sun and water. Can be a very vigorous plant under right conditions. Tends to die back to the roots in winter, but rebounds in the spring.
