Description

A variety of Mountain Mahogany that has larger leaves than its local counterpart, giving it a lusher appearance. A fast growing, 15' shrub, for the full sun. Drought tolerant once established. Its small inconspicuous flowers in the spring are followed by small clusters of seeds with feathery curled tails that light up in afternoon sun This plant is found only in the chaparral of San Clemente Island.
