Ceanothus spinosus - Greenbark Ceanothus

Description

Tree like, growing to 20 feet with very attractive lime green bark. Large flower clusters pale blue to nearly white which bloom February to May. Sturdy, vigorous and fast growing. Good for erosion control. Drought tolerant but will take some water. Native to dry slopes in the Chaparral and Coastal Sage Scrub communities, mostly near the coast.
