Ceanothus griseus 'Santa Ana' - Carmel Ceanothus

Description

One of the darkest and farthest- spreading ceanothus. Dark green shrub 4-5' tall, 10-15' wide, with dark midnight blue flowers in clusters up to 4" long. Small leaves on somewhat brushy stems. In hot areas does best when shaded from the afternoon sun, otherwise plant in full sun. Drought tolerant when established. 'Santa Ana' will tolerate heavy soil and summer water.
