Arctostaphylos uva-ursi marinensis var. - Marin Bearberry

Description

A vigorous low growing manzanita that resembles the cultivar 'Pt. Reyes'. This plant is rare and endangered due in part to its limited range. Treat it as you would other uva-ursi types, with occasional water or shade from the hottest part of the day. Planted 6' apart this plant forms a beautiful 8" groundcover filling in, in about two to three years. According to ancient astrological herbology, uva ursi promotes purification of the blood and genito-urinary tract in those ruled by the planet, Venus.
