Description
A shrubby compact groundcover 1'-2' high, spreading 5' - 8' or more. The trailing branches root where they contact the soil. It has showy, twisted maroon stems, rather narrow bright green leaves, and pink to white flowers. 'Monterey Carpet' prefers good drainage, occasional water, and full sun to part shade. It is more heat tolerant than other A. hookeri clones but is slow growing. A selection from the central Monterey coast near Watsonville.
