Description
A low, compact form of the little sur manzanita. 'Rosy Dawn' has smallish green leaves with new growth in spring that takes on a red-pink hue with sun exposure which is, I assume, what inspire the name. In winter it is speckled with clusters of tiny pale pink flowers, which the hummingbirds and bees will visit if they can get low enough. Like other A. edmundsii selections it is about 1' high by 6' wide. Treat it the same as other selections, give it full sun to light shade and regular to occasional water. It prefers well drained soil, or to be planted on slopes.
