Potentilla gracilis - Cinquefoil

Description

This Cinquefoil is found in meadows and open forests.The leaves are palmate -- the name cinquefoil is old French for five leaves, which describes the divisions. Stems from 1 to 3' are topped with broad inch-diameter bright yellow flowers. Use this plant in a natural meadow or around a pond; likes year round dampness and full sun.
