Arctostaphylos tomentosa crinita var. - Hairy Manzanita

Description

This subspecies is a member of chaparral and forest communities in the south west Santa Cruz Mountains. The smooth bark is a beautiful red color . The stems are tomentose and have long white bristles. The flowers are white and bloom in winter.
