Attribute detail

Description

Barely distinguishable from the Leopard Lily, this subspecies has a red-orange cast to the recurved spotted flowers which are held in abundance on a 4' stalk above 1' wide foilage. After it's blooming season, in May through July, the Marsh Lily goes dormant until the following spring. Give it occasional summer water and good drainage. Leopard Lily, a native to the Pitkin Marsh, Sonoma County, is at its best in full to partial shade.
