Pteridium aquilinum - Western Bracken Fern

Description

A cosmopolitan fern, growing all over North America from Alaska to central Mexico and from California to the eastern U. S. Also found in Eurasia, Africa and the Pacific Rim. Plant in full sun or part shade. Can take drought or watering as long as the drainage is good. Take care in choosing a site in the garden, bracken is VERY invasive.
