Sisyrinchium bellum 'Dark Dwarf' - Blue-Eyed-Grass

Description

This dwarf form of blue-eyed grass has a darker purple flower than is common for the species and stays under 10" high. Its 3/4" star-shaped flowers arrive in spring, and may continue to appear through the summer if the plant is watered. Blue-eyed grass is widely distributed and common locally in open places. It does best with full sun or light shade and occasional water. Useful in rock gardens, containers, sunny borders, or meadow plantings.
