Sporobolus airoides - Alkali Sacaton

Description

A grass of moist alkaline places, requiring regular irrigation for best performance. The Alkali Sacaton grows throughout the west. The delicacy and beauty of its seed head, as well as its adaptability to many soil types, make it a must for the grass gardener. This Sporobolus turns a tawny gold from late October through March, requires full sun, and blooms in mid summer.
