Arctostaphylos 'Sandsprite' - 'Sandsprite' Manzanita

Description

A low growing shrub attaining a height of no more than 2' and a spread of 4'. Rose-colored flowers, produced in March, are followed by mahogany-red fruits. The early autumn new growth is brilliant red and from a distance may be mistaken for flowers. An excellent subject for slopes with other flowering natives inter-planted. Arctostaphylos 'Sandsprite' prefers a sun or partial shade location with occasional summer watering.
