Arctostaphylos pallida 'Wildcat Canyon' - Pallid Manzanita

Description

A big spreading shrub 6 to 12' tall, with smooth grey-green leaves that are edged with red. Rare and endangered in its native habitat on the east side of the San Francisco Bay in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. Prefers maritime influence. Inland, plant in high shade or hide away from hot afternoon sun. Needs well drained soil.
