Monardella purpurea - Coyote Mint

Description

This member of the Monardella genus is found from Washington to New Mexico. It grows in sandy soils in the openings of coniferous forests from the middle to subalpine elevations. In the garden they are drought tolerant and provide rose-purple blooms summer into the fall.
