Description

The Royal penstemon is a large perennial with erect stems that grow to 4' tall. The flowers, which appear from March to May, are very showy. It has a somewhat inflated blue purple corolla set off by attractive light green leaves. Native to sandy washes in the desert mountains of southern California, plant it in full sun with little water for best results.
