Description

Small, low growing violet with heart-shaped leaves and white flowers with purple markings. Native to the Coast Ranges from Monterey Co. to Del Norte, Shasta and Trinity Cos. where it grows on rocky and grassy banks below 3,500'. Plant in sun or shade. Very drought tolerant when established on the coast, if inland, plants will do best in light shade. Blooms all summer and into the fall when given regular water. Will spread and reseed.
