Description

This member of the Rosaceae family is found on dry rocky slopes in pinyon-juniper woodlands in the eastern desert mountains. It is a summer bloomer, sporting delicate white flowers. The fruit developes into bunches of achenes, each achene adorned by a long beautiful, feathery pink plume. In your garden provide a situation in which there is summer heat, excellent drainage and hope for well-spaced winter rains.
