Description

A loosely branched, more or less deciduous shrub, Deer Brush grows to 12' tall, with green or yellowish branches. Flower color varies from dark blue to white and sometimes pink, May to July. These plants have white flowers. Plant in sun to light shade. This shrub is water tolerant as well as drought tolerant. Free-flowering. Found primarily through the inner coast ranges from Santa Cruz Co. south to Ventura Co., dry slopes and ridges.
