Description
A large deciduous shrub with big, showy tresses of white to pink flowers. The throats of the two uppermost petals are splashed with yellow. One of the most fragrant of all the rhododendrons and one of the last to bloom - May to June. This plant does fine in sun or shade but needs regular water as well as good drainage and acid soil. It also needs good air circulation, and without it is prone to mildew.
