Penstemon heterophyllus purdyi var. - Blue Bedder

Description

Showy perennial for the low border or in front of shrubs. It is especially attractive when massed. The flowering period is long-lasting from April to July, with blue flowers highlighted in pink and lavender. Very dependable in the dry, sunny garden. The plants grow from 1 to 2 feet high. Shortlived especially if treated too kindly with water and fertilizer.
