An evergreen shrub to 3' high and 6' wide, the Bush Snapdragon can act as a vine on a trellis or fence. Showy bright red flowers attractive to hummingbirds bloom profusely Feb-May, often with some flowers year-round. Likes full sun with some protection from afternoon sun in inland areas. Drought tolerant once established. Prefers well drained soil. Found in coastal sage scrub on the Channel Islands.
