A large many stemmed shrub of creek sides throughout the state, noted for its red branches. This dogwood has small clusters of white flowers in spring, but is perhaps at its best in the winter, when it has dropped its leaves and shows off its beautiful red intricately branched twigs. Give it plenty of water, and either sun or light shade, and it will quickly reach about 10' in both height and width. Good wildlife plant.
