Description:
This showy shrub is a great plant for the wildlife gardener - it attracts hummingbirds, sets lots of seed for other birds, and is also food for butterfly larva! Heart-shaped leaves form an arching mound. Planted near a fence, it can climb much like a climbing rose. Branches are tipped with showy red flowers for much of the summer. Leaves turn a nice red before dropping in fall. Cut back in fall for a compact plant the next year.
