Description:
This erect, shrubby, fragrant perennial grows to 4 feet high. It takes full sun and is drought tolerant. Blooms April to June with showy purplish flowers. Good companion to other chaparral shrubs such as monkey flowers, coyote mint, chamise, and lupines. Native to San Gabriel and Santa Monica Mountains and the Channel Islands.
