Chamaebatiaria millefolium - Fern Bush

Description

Fern Bush is an extremely tough plant native to deserts and mountainous areas of the west. As its natural range suggests, a dry, open, well drained spot is ideal, although occasional water will keep it looking lusher. A dense plant to around 6 by 6 feet, its finely dissected foliage is a deep green, accented with clusters of white flowers in spring. Very deer resistant. Its unusual texture provides a nice contrast to other shrubs.
