Description
A highly variable and wide ranging succulent occuring naturally from coastal Santa Cruz County all the way down to the Transverse Ranges and into Baja. Foliage grows in small rosettes and ranges anywhere from green to blue-green to a mauve or plum, generally leaning towards redder tones with increased sun exposure. Sometimes foliage is powdery and sometimes glabrous. Leaves, as the name suggests, are lance-like: longer and thinner with an acute tip. Flower stalks can get up to 2' high and are pale green to pink. Flower petals are fused to create a tubular shape with vertical stripes from yellow to orangey pink. Great container plant or in a well draining spot.
