This cultivar of the California fuchsia forms a tight mat of densely-set silver leaves. Large tubular red flowers cover the plant summer to fall. Provide your plants with full sun and well drained soil. This selection prefers more water than most in the hot times of the summer, but does not want to remain wet. Be sure to provide a drink before a hot summer week for a lusher appearance. Prune the foliage back by half in late spring/early summer for a healthy fall bloom.
