The rapid growing Golden Currant does best in a light shade situation. Bright yellow flower clusters appear in late winter to early spring. The Golden Currant can be used as a back drop to a woodland planting or around oaks as it is drought tolerant. Proper drought tolerant training includes a thorough watering intially, then tapering off to occasional deep waterings. Height on the Golden Currant is 3 - 6'.
