One of our most exquisite native trees, the Madrone is prized for its satiny orange-red bark and dark green leaves. Large clusters of white flowers appear in spring, followed by bright red berries in late summer that attract birds. Unfortunately a very difficult plant to establish - for a similar look and an easier to grow plant we recommend an upright form of Manzanita.

This plant IS NOT LISTED on our most current availability list. (Printer friendly page generated on January 17, 2018.)
