Ceanothus thyrsiflorus 'El Dorado' is a unique variegated shrub, great for an informal hedge or used as a focal point. A fantastic plant for beneficial insects, bees and butterflies adore the purple-blue blooms and butterflies use the leaves as a larval food source. Plant with good drainage, prefers full sun in moderate climates and on the coast. Inland hot areas should plant this shrub with some afternoon shade for best results. Prefers to be dry once established.
