This selection of the Idaho Fescue comes from the Warren Mountains in Northeast California. The 'Warren Peak' Fescue forms a dense clump of deep green, finely textured foliage about 18 inches tall and wide. Graceful flowering stalks add to its appeal in spring. A beautiful accent along a border or in a meadow garden, this grass is particularly striking when combined with a gray or light colored grass such as the 'Siskiyou Blue' Fescue. As with most of the native grasses, it is cold hardy and drought tolerant, but will look lusher with some summer water.
