Description:
California Polypody is found in shaded canyons, along streambanks, on north-facing slopes, cliffs, roadcuts, and coastal bluffs. The new fronds, which emerge from rhizomes in late summer or early fall, are upright and grow to about 1' high. Give this fern a shaded situation and occasional water during the dry months.
