Description:
One of our most prized perennials from the shady depths of both Redwood and Oak forests. Though it is found in a variety of colors our plants came from a dark burgundy form. The Wake Robin will do well in a shady garden with moderate moisture all year. An old clump may bear more than a dozen flowering stalks. A single showy flower arises from the middle of the leaves in mid spring and is followed by a six-ridged seed pod. Fall/winter dormant.
