Description:
Very low, to 1". Good groundcover for partly shaded rock gardens or borders. Spreading but not invasive, needs no water in cool coastal climates but will need some summer water in hot inland areas. Yellow star-like flowers appear in May through July above pretty gray and red rosettes. Native to the Coast Ranges from Santa Cruz Co. to B.C. and the Sierra Nevada.
