Description:
A beautiful dense, matting shrub to 2 feet tall and 4 feet wide. The flowers are pink turning to white, in small clusters. This rare and endangered manzanita is from the Monterey area and does best with some shade during the hot afternoon. Very tolerant of most soil types from sand to heavy clay, but must have good drainage. Does best near the coast. Water about once a month at coast, more inland. Subject to diseases away from coast.
