Description: This unusual form of the rare Mt. Diablo Manzanita was found on a roadcut on the mountain. Since the original cuttings were taken, CalTrans has bulldozed the plant. Thanks guys! This pretty 6 foot shrub has nearly round 1" grey fuzzy leaves that clasp the stem. Light pink urn shaped flowers appear in winter, soon followed by rosy new growth.
