Paeonia californica Common Name: California Paeonia Size: 2'h x 1'w Sun: Sun-Part Shade H20: Occ.H2O/dry Description: The California Peony is a striking perennial found at low elevations in Southern parts of the state. Not an easy plant to establish but worth the effort - striking red flowers with black centers appear on 18" stalks in late winter. Provide good drainage, some sun, and a summer dry period.
