Description:
Our native Pipevine's climbing branches and heart-shaped leaves twine beautifully over an arbor or through a shrub. The curious flowers are shaped like fat little pipes, patterned maroon, brown and white. They bloom in late winter and are lovely at close range, so plant the vine where they can be appreciated up close. This is the larval food source for the black pipevine swallowtail butterfly.
