Description:
Jimson Weed is native to dry, sunny, barren places throughout the west. Broad felty gray leaves emerge from the ground in winter, followed by large trumpet shaped flowers of palest violet. The foliage then dies back to the ground in fall. This is not a plant for every garden - all parts of the plant contain a powerful narcotic, and it should be placed wisely. Combine with other sun-and-dry lovers such as Artemisias and Sages.
